Recipient of the Abasin Literary Award for 2018-2019, ‘Hafr Al Atash’ was first published in 2018. The book consists of one hundred and fifty-five poems, spread over 348 pages.
A collection of various genres in Urdu and some English poetry; it includes different types of modern and conservative Nazam and Ghazal.
As indicated by the cover, feelings, and emotions, in most of the poems, represent an arid-dessert environment, dominated by solitude and wilderness.
The main theme of these poems is romance; but occasionally discusses political and socio-economic issues, providing the reader with a peek into the Pakistani-Indian and North American culture. These poems will take you away from your routine city life and aid you in embarking upon a roller coaster journey of love, longing, hope, despair, and forgiveness.
